Up to four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to outstanding college students based on the following criteria on the application.
Return the completed application form including a picture, letters of recommendation, and transcript to the address below by December 15.

Proficiency awards are a result of a FFA member’s supervised agricultural experience (SAE) enterprises and acknowledge skill development and career based skills in related award areas. The Beef Production Placement award is centered on the student’s work with a livestock producer and putting into operation the best management practices available to efficiently produce and market beef.
The Ohio CattleWomen’s Association sponsors The Ohio 4-H Beef Achievement Award each year. Winners attend the National 4-H Congress with other youths from all over the country in November in Atlanta, Georgia.
To be eligible for this award each candidate must fill out an application and list 4-H projects, 4-H participation, 4-H activities, 4-H honors, 4-H community service/citizenship activities, 4-H leadership, 4-H officer/committee, 4-H experiences and they have to write a 4-H story that has contributed to their personal development, leadership skills and career plans.

Congratulations, Makayla!
Ohio Cattlewomen Scholarship winner, Makayla (Feldner) Heil from Caldwell, Ohio. Her parents are Jason and Jeanette Feldner. She is in her 3rd year of Veterinary Medicine attending The Ohio State University.
After graduation Makayla plans to work in a mixed animal practice in south eastern Ohio.
Elizabeth Porteus is a 3rd year veterinary medicine student at The Ohio State University. She graduated from The Ohio State University, majored in Animal Science and Meat Science. Elizabeth grew up in a farming family in Coshocton, Ohio where her love for livestock grew.
Within the veterinary college, Elizabeth serves as the treasurer for the Food Animal Medicine Club, student liaison for Ohio Dairy Veterinarians, and involved in Equine Club and Theriogenology Club. Elizabeth hopes to return to
Eastern Ohio and provide veterinary services to Coshocton and surrounding areas.
Riley Berger, son of Amanda Gallagher and Greg and Sue Randles, is a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Riley has worked over 3100 hours for ASB Farm, where his main activities were working cattle, helping with show cattle, vaccinating, banding, and developing a nutrition plan. He also logged 529 hours with Grauer Show Cattle, where his duties included washing, feeding, and working calves for shows. His future plans are to continue working in the cattle industry. Riley’s advisors are Sue Davis and Logan Pyers.
In addition, Riley will represent Ohio as an American Star in Agricultural Placement finalist this fall at the National FFA Convention & Expo.
I had the pleasure to meet Emma Yochum, she is our Beef Achievement Award winner that Dona Tullis and Ohio Cattlewomen sponsor to go to the National 4-H Congress trip that will be in Atlanta, Georgia this year. She was presented her award at the 2024 4-H Achievement Awards Banquet in Columbus Ohio on June 6, 2024. Emma is 16, has been a member of 4-H for 11 years, she has shown steer and heifer projects, market lambs, and taken family and consumer science projects. She currently serves on the Ohio State Fashion Board. She is the Daughter of Chip and Shannon Yochum.
